Chatterbooks Zone
Do you like reading? Why not join a chatterbooks
reading group?
Chatterbooks are Reading Clubs for children
aged 8 - 12: they're about reading and talking about
everything to do with books - stories, authors,
illustrators, dramas. There are games, activities,
gifts and prizes during the hour long sessions, and
children will get the opportunity to meet and talk to
any visiting authors or storytellers.
There
are Chatterbooks groups at Coppice, Davyhulme,
Stretford and Woodsend libraries.
See Libraries in Trafford for details. Each group
is limited to around 10 children.
Look out for the Easy Reading Stories marked with
"this rocket
sticker".
Booked Up is a national programme providing
every child in year seven with a free book -
